During a City election, the City Clerk administers all election issues.
The municipal election in 2024 will be different than in previous years because Clarksburg is joining its elections with the county to take advantage of greater voter turnout and help reduce the cost of elections for both the city and the county.
The next Clarksburg City Council & Clarksburg Water Board Election is May 14, 2024.
2024 Voting Precincts for City of Clarksburg (your polling location may be different than in the past):
*(Even though these polling precincts are located outside of the city limits of Clarksburg, Clarksburg city voters will go to these precincts to vote.)
If you have any questions or concerns about your precincts or where you are to vote, please call the Voter’s Registration Office at 304-624-8613.
There will be no early voting at Clarksburg City Hall. Early voting will be held by the county:
Early voting runs from May 1 – 11, 8 am-4 pm and on the two Saturdays before Election Day (May 4th and May 11th) from 9 am to 5 pm.
City Council Candidates in the order in which they filed and how they want their names to appear on the ballot:

Clarksburg City Council operates under a City Manager form of government. In Clarksburg, the Mayor and City Council serve part-time and are elected on a non-partisan basis.
Under the manager form of government, the City Council acts as the legislative body in establishing policy and law and the City Manager handles the day-to-day operations of the City.
