About
The Compost Center is operated by the City of Clarksburg's Public Works Department and accepts yard waste from residents, haulers and contractors.
Yard waste consists of vegetative or organic material produced from the care and maintenance of landscaped areas, gardens, and lawns. The material includes grass, leaves, weeds, brush, flowers, plants, pruned trees branches, garden residue, and Christmas trees.
The Yard Waste Compost Center also has Compost material for purchase by bulk. Unfortunately, compost delivery is not available at this time. The City of Clarksburg encourages its residents to utilize this service provided by the City. This service eliminates yard waste from being deposited in Sanitary Landfills.
Any questions or concerns regarding the Yard Waste Compost Center please contact the Public Works Department at 304-624-1611 or 304-624-1612.
